CRUSH Wine Bar’s own Chef de Cuisine premiers on Top Chef Canada
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON March 8, 2012 – When a network hits record high ratings for a reality show, they know they have stumbled upon a hit, and Food Network Canada, did just that. In April 2011, Food Network Canada aired season one of the international adaptation of Top Chef. With the great success of season one, season two was not far behind and it is set to air starting March 12th, at 10pm on Food Network Canada.
CRUSH Wine Bar, part of the Harvest Hospitality Group, is proud to announce that our own Trista Sheen, Chef de Cuisine, has been selected as one the of 16 contestants from across Canada to participate in this unique experience. Trista is a graduate of George Brown College and from there went on to work in restaurants around the world. Trista travelled and studied alongside Michelin Star Chef’s, developing and broadening her expertise in the kitchen. In 2010 Trista joined CRUSH as Sous Chef and in 2012 was promoted to Chef de Cuisine.
Trista is not only vying for Top Chef Canada, the winner will also receive the Grand Prize of $100,000 and a GE Monogram Kitchen worth $30,000.
You can join the excitement each Monday Night at 10pm at CRUSH Wine Bar, where the adventure of Trista’s journey on Top Chef Canada will come alive. The bar will be broadcasting each episode and both food and drink specials will be offered to celebrate the experience. We are proud of Trista’s accomplishments and look forward to watching alongside the rest of Canada as she battles it out in the Kitchen!
